Fiesta for Kids : Introduction to Spanish language through Dancing
Ages 4-7 - Saturdays 1pm
This class is taught in Spanish. Students will learn commands,
directions, the alphabet, words, body parts, colors and songs through
dance technique, games and Latin American rhythms. Perfect “fiesta” for
a Saturday afternoon!
Dance Yoga
Ages 4-6 - Saturdays 2pm
Ages 7-9 - Saturdays 3pm
This is a class for children to have fun in a dynamic environment that focuses on story telling using characters and the expression of children’s own bodies. Fun yoga helps kids to develop strong, flexible, imaginative and healthy bodies as well as to increase concentration, focus and attention.
Funky Ballet (Adults; all levels)
This class follows the classical structure and technique of ballet in a new and exciting way combining it with world contemporary music, chill out, fusion and electronic. Open to everyone - all ages and sizes - those who have experienced ballet as children and those new to ballet. The Funky Ballet class is a great alternative for students with a love for dance and modern music. Focus will be on developing strength, core support, balance, flexibility, rhythm, coordination, alignment, memory and having fun!
Contemporary Dance (Adults; intermediate-advanced level)
Release technique based on Somatics (Body Mind Centering and Bartenieff Fundamentals). The body will minimize tension in the search for honest sources for movement and expression as well as fluidity and efficient use of energy. This class is a training alternative for dancers, movers, improvisers, performing artists and anyone curious about their own bodies and movement potential.
Movement & Relaxation (for everyone)
Imagine yourself in a Caribbean Island relaxing your body and mind. Excellent journey for you to drop all your worries, manage your stress and feel peaceful. Through a combination of dance, yoga, breathing and deep relaxation techniques, you will recover your energy and feel ready for a sound sleep. A great gift to yourself!
Modern Dance for Pre-teens and Teens (all levels)
Exciting and fun, this course introduces the basic principles of modern dance with an emphasis on alignment, strength, flexibility and coordination. Improvisation, experiential anatomy and authentic movement will be major part of this class. This is a great alternative for movement and training to encourage body awareness, to develop self-confidence and to stimulate the overall health of the student.
